PECs stands for Picture Exchange Communication System and is a common and widely used ABA communication approach for non-speaking children. It involves teaching children to use symbols to request and communicate. If it is giving the children a voice, what is so bad about it? PECS is a specific way of teaching how to communicate using symbols. It is very adult lead and th
