Miss when Looney Tunes were on multiple TV channels? So do we! In the 1980's, when Nickelodeon was becoming a major player in the cable TV market, they were looking for a branding gimmick. They decided on a quirky, but ultimately history-making, idea: doo-wop. They hired a legendary doo-wop vocal group known as the Jive Five (look them up.)
