U.S. President Donald Trump warned early Monday that countries that support of BRICS nations -- Brazil, Russia, India and China -- would be slapped with an additional 10% tariff when across-the-board

The president said the levy will apply to "any country aligning themselves with the Anti-American policies of Brics".

Trump took aim at the BRICS bloc, threatening higher tariffs on the group. The bloc's core members include Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.Trump has taken issue with the bloc in the past over efforts to de-dollarize their economies.
