Many Texas families are reeling as recovery continues due to catastrophic floods in the Hill Country and Kerr County this weekend. That includes Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who said just a week prior to the floods,

Texas’ junior senator was visiting Greece Friday when the Texas flood turned deadly. Cruz, who did not return until Sunday night, communicated with officials from Athens.

Beast reported that while rescue teams searched floodwaters in Texas that Cruz remained in Greece, continuing to sightsee.
