The lawsuit accuses the administration of illegally sharing a massive dataset of personal health information to make it easier to locate people for deportation.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel joined 19 other attorneys general in filing a lawsuit this week against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for sharing personal health data about Medicaid recipients with the Department of Homeland Security which oversees Immigration and Customs Enforcement,

"Disclosing individuals’ private health data for the purpose of immigration enforcement puts lives at risk," Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea J. Campbell said.
