Russia launched 550 drones and missiles across Ukraine overnight in the largest aerial assault since the war began. The capital Kyiv was the primary target.

Waves of drone and missile attacks targeted Kyiv overnight into Friday in the largest aerial attack since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began more than three years ago, injuring 23 people and inflicting severe damage across multiple districts of the capital in a seven-hour onslaught.

One person died and 26 injured in Russian strikes throughout Kyiv, one day after President Donald Trump said he was "disappointed" Russian President Vladimir Putin wasn't ready to end the three-year war with Ukraine.
