Passengers traveling through domestic airports don't have to take their shoes off while going through TSA security screening.

The new rules, first reported by the Gate Access newsletter, went into effect at certain airports but were expected to spread nationwide this week. Passengers departing from Sacramento International Airport have not had to take their shoes off since Monday morning, airport spokesperson Lindsay Myers said.
